She was Maude. She was a giant Golden Girl. Yet poor Bea Arthur can’t seem to shake speculation that she just might be a man trapped inside a—well, man’s body. Now you can finally answer the is-she-or-isn’t-she question for yourself as Arthur takes that husky voice and stately frame to the stage—with hilarious results. Accompanied by “good friend” Billy Goldenberg on the piano (if you’re lucky, maybe he’ll bust out his Kojak theme), Arthur will croon a few tunes, share a few stories, and reportedly tell a few jokes that would make even Estelle Getty blush. Arthur performs in her one-woman show And Then There’s Bea at 8 p.m. at the Warner Theatre, 1299 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. $20.50-$41. (202) 432-7328. (TO)
