Not to keep this up, but a friend pointed out that someone had responded (The Mail, 12/21) to my letter (The Mail, 11/30) regarding Paul Ruffins’ unworthy “Dog Days” (11/23). And she did an excellent job at proving my point. In her gift for writing and mastery of the English language, Lisa Zapolski pointed out that I am the polar opposite of D.C. Councilmember Kevin Chavous, who, according to her and Webster’s, has “a lack of foresight or discernment: a narrow view of something.” So thanks, Lisa, for proving my point (that Washington City Paper readers and some D.C. councilmembers have a limited capacity) and saying that I have vision and the ability to see things beyond my fingers. It is an honor to be the polar opposite of such a goof! For you I do suggest more reading of the City Paper, the original article, and my reply. Several more times and you may just get it!
