For many Redskins fans, FedEx Field has become a place to forget as soon as they return from another disappointing game. But now the Danbury Mint of Norwalk, Conn., is making it more difficult to escape those haunting game-day memories. Recently, the company began mailing select fans in the region advertisements for a “stunning replica” of FedEx Field, on sale for the stunning price of $59.50. The mini stadium, which measures approximately 7 by 6 inches, will allow fans to contemplate FedEx Field’s sardine-can architecture 365 days a year. Michelle Tessier, PR director for the Redskins, says she already has an older version of the model, which unfortunately lacks certain updated features of the stadium, including some of its copious corporate signs. “I may buy [the updated model],” says Tessier. “It would be great to have the new version.” —Felix Gillette
