Sure, the 2002 Scratch Live Concert Tour is bringing Dilated Peoples, and their formidable turntablist, DJ Babu, to Washington. But check out the undercard: The tour also includes The Original Jazzy Jay, who was in Afrika Bambaataa’s the Soulsonic Force; Z-Trip, a Phoenix, Ariz., dude who drops lots of rock ‘n’ roll into the mix; and DJ QBert, member of the now-defunct Invisibl Skratch Piklz. And, as if that’s not enough, we’re also gonna get to see Grandwizzard Theodore, the South Bronx legend credited by many with inventing vinyl scratching in 1975 at age 13. Don’t miss this. The show starts at 11:30 p.m. at the 9:30 Club, 815 V St. NW. $25. (202) 393-0930. (Joe Warminsky)
