An early-’80s Rolling Stone record guide included all six Angel albums in the category “never should have been made.” As one of Angel’s many fans who thought that they were underrated, I am glad that the band is now recognized instead as being ahead of its time (“Angel on His Shoulder,” 5/31).

And though I share Meadows’ new affinity for country music, I do hope he will reconsider his decision not to play with the Angel reunions—we who missed the opportunity to see “Punky” live in 1977 would enjoy it now.
