Tax Policy?

Where does D.C. Congressional Delegate Eleanor Holmes Norton get off calling Mayor Anthony A. Williams “naive or stupid” for attending a Connie Morella fundraiser (“Angel From Montgomery,” 7/5)? This is the woman, remember, who hadn’t paid federal income taxes for a few years before her election and copped a “my husband handled all that” plea when it caught up to her. Seems kind of naive—or stupid—to me to not notice whether or not anybody in the house is paying taxes.
