Baseball games at Camden Yards start at 7:05 p.m. on weekdays. It takes 75 to 100 minutes to drive from Washington to Baltimore during rush hour. Tom Scocca (“Keep off the Grass,” 8/23) complains that Washington fans show up there in the second inning in work clothes.
Seems to me that, if there were a team in downtown Washington, these dedicated fans would have time to go home and change and get to the stadium before the first pitch.
