Nice job with your take on gentrification (“We Shall Not Be Moved,” 4/4), a touchy subject that could have yielded a much more maudlin or didactic treatment. With the exception of Jason Cherkis’ self-indulgent piece (“It’s a Shame About Ray”), the articles were interesting and portrayed their subjects with respect and fairness, without preaching or offering sweeping solutions. Congratulations especially to Sarah Godfrey, whose piece on the Mid City Fish Market (“Grease Is the Word”) and interview with Willy Toribio (“Open House”) were quite touching.
