Re “Virginia Is for Sluggers” (5/2): All I have to say to the author is, Get over yourself. Cry me a river about how bad D.C. residents have it, with suburbanites ripping up roads and stealing parking spaces. Maybe if I wouldn’t have to pay an arm and a leg for housing I could live in the city, and I would only have to auction off my organs to afford parking.

I love the city and travel there on a daily basis, but I can’t get over the contempt some city dwellers have for suburbanites. Although we may not pay rent in the city, we do spend most of our days there—so it would be much appreciated if you removed the chip on your shoulder.
