It’s not easy being a man, is it, ladies? The days of drawing on a mustache in eyebrow pencil and wearing an ill-fitting suit are over. (I’m looking at you, Kim Basinger in 9 1/2 Weeks.) Messing with gender is a high art, and the performers of the Great Big International Drag King Show 3 are taking it to the next level, fusing comedy, erotic acting-out, singing, drinking, staring, being confused, being delighted, and being extremely surprised all into one firm, uh, package. The capital’s own D.C. Drag Kings host the show, thanks to enterprising promoter Ken Las Vegas, and plan to make their hometown proud. Join lovable goofball Boise Studley, rapper E-Cleff, daddy/boy act Chapman & Nikolaz, and bio-queen (it’s complicated) Anita Lickin as they turn the local barn into a smoke-filled study and masculine hideaway perfect for harassing the boundaries of gender. At 9:30 p.m. on the Black Cat’s Mainstage, 1811 14th St. NW. $15. (202) 667-7960. (Arion Berger)
