Loose Lips (5/9) has the dustup between Eleanor Holmes Norton and Tony Williams exactly wrong. Norton was entirely in the right to object to the efforts of right-wingers in the Congress to force their tired and failed ideas (such as school vouchers) on a District that can’t vote against them, and she was entirely right to criticize District officials for helping them to do it. Her attitude during this whole episode was born of righteous indignation, and not of a hissy fit, as Loose Lips suggested.
