Josh Levin’s article on Wisconsin Avenue (“Wisconsin Badgers,” 7/4) was right on point. Wisconsin Avenue in Tenleytown is one of the least vibrant parts of Northwest D.C. Thanks to the residents of Tenleytown, who hate all development, there is no reason to go there. Tenleytown has no good retail, it has no real housing options for young professionals—it is really a waste of a Metro stop. In fact, at night Tenleytown feels downright dangerous because there is no one out.

The article offers good insight into how special interests can destroy the potential of a neighborhood.
