Fall prey to the point-of-purchase displays at Giant and you usually end up with batteries, a Milky Way, or Soap Opera Digest. I came home with 24 tracks of slow-cooked mid-’60s blues, including the tune that taught Carla to call Otis “country.” Dunno what Odonna’s thinkin’ these days, but I like it. —Glenn Dixon
