By the time I picked up this 1992 release, the price had fallen to a bargain-bin 99 cents. Worth every penny, though not for its few decent toe-tappers or Jay Joyce’s smoky-smooth voice. No, it provided a cheap means of satisfying a long-held curiosity: Could this Nashville trio ever top “Harvest Moon,” its wonderfully mopey contribution to the Reservoir Dogs soundtrack? —Joe Dempsey
