The Chinese Stars sure do like Pere Ubu. And that’s cool: I like Pere Ubu, too. Maybe we can connect via the growing Internet community that is Friendster. We can talk about our favorite songs and find new e-friends who also appreciate the finer points of Ubology. (“Final Solution”: Rocket From the Tombs or Pere Ubu? Ready? Go!) Maybe I’ll even get to hear some crazy tour stories: Some of these guys used to be in Arab on Radar and Six Finger Satellite. I like new friends. You might like new friends, too; you should check ’em out. Especially if you like Pere Ubu. The Chinese Stars play with Human Host at 9 p.m. on the Black Cat’s Backstage, 1811 14th St. NW. $6. (202) 667-7960. (Mike Kanin)
