Artists shouldn’t have to sweep up broken glass every time out. If you can let Lucinda Williams rap, you can let Q-Tip sing, you can let Mos Def release his rock record, and you can go see the Asians in Rock showcase, which features enough kickass indie-centric guitar-play to make Ken Burns think about filming the whole thing.
