MONDAY

Meet Samantha, a barely legal blogger who quotes Leon Trotsky, says she can’t live without her bus pass, library card, and condoms, and claims that “strong opinions” get her hot. Unusual stuff, though if you’re one of the subscribers to Samantha’s host site, Suicidegirls.com, you might end up distracted from her musings by photos of her boobs. Suicidegirls.com, launched in 2001, has simultaneously elevated porn and taken it further underground, with models who are tattooed, pierced, and dyed, yet still as lovely as and more au naturel than anyone you’ll find in Playboy. Along with all the dirty pictures, however, you’ll find celebrity interviews, fiction, and message boards discussing the genius of Brian Eno. (Well, all right, that actually sounds a lot like Playboy, but the Suicide Girls have more interesting record collections.) And now the Girls have taken their show on the road: Sharing a bill with local pop-punk band Full Minute of Mercury, six of the Web site’s models (Siren, Stormy, and Tegan are pictured) will be shimmying at the Black Cat in the Suicide Girls Burlesque Tour, a “classic seductive burlesque show with a unique modern punk rock edge.” You may not be able to get as up-close to the Girls as you can online, but bring your strong opinions just in case. The show starts at 8:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 2, on the Black Cat’s Mainstage, 1811 14th St. NW. $12. (202) 667-7960. (Tricia Olszewski)
