Plenty of squares went psych in 1967, but these Brooklynites did it right: with their sense for old-style songcraft intact. True, the heads might not have wanted to hear “Wimoweh 5 1/2 Years Later,” but who cares? The one about how the sunset can see you, too, is a trip still worth taking, no matter how well-planned. —Leonard Roberge
