TUESDAY

It’s hard to believe, kids, but some people out there don’t love Animal House. These are the same haters who deride the dignified sport of beer pong, who chuckle self-righteously at reruns of Mr. Show’s sendup of “hot college comic” Blueberry Head. I, however, get it: In a place where doing idiotic things is par for the course, pratfalls, gross-out humor, and fart jokes constitute an unbeatable comedic repertoire. Now the D.C. Improv looks to crown “the District’s Funniest College,” wherein two students each from five local universities will vie for the grand prize: a week’s paid MC work at the club. “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell, no!” Expect insightful political humor at 8:30 p.m. at the D.C. Improv, 1140 Connecticut Avenue NW. $10. (202) 296-7008. (Mike DeBonis)
