Hey, how ’bout a Zagnut? Crunchy peanut butter and toasted coconut—truly one of Hershey’s finest confections, up there with the Zero and Whatchamacallit. So irresistibly scrumptious is the Zagnut that it is the official choice of Betelgeuse—the wisecrackin’, bio-exorcisin’ catalyst of Tim Burton’s 1988 fantasy/comedy, Beetlejuice—for all his insect-baiting needs. As for getting rid of obnoxious yuppies who may have moved into your idyllic country home following your untimely death, well—that might require a little something extra. Burton’s follow-up to his surprise hit, Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (and arguably his breakout film), showcases the fantastical imagination, offbeat characters, and Gothic stylings that would be associated with nearly all of his later films. Make sure to stop by the candy stand before the show begins at midnight at Landmark’s Bethesda Row Cinema, 7235 Woodmont Ave., Bethesda. $6.50. (301) 652-7273. (Matthew Borlik)
