City Paper is not for tourists.
I had to laugh at Jeffrey Norman’s letter to the editor (The Mail, 10/1). Does he really think the Running Against Bush ticket benefited from “the tidal wave” of anti-incumbent sentiment? As he admits, very few people know what the Democratic State Committee is, much less the philosophical differences between the candidate slates.
The only reason Norman and his slate won was their catchy name. Many people might have mistaken them for that group of joggers you see around the city in those blue Run Against Bush T-shirts. I know that’s what I did.
