SATURDAY
Politics may be carnival enough for some D.C. residents—but then there are those who crave a carnival of the flesh. Lucky for us, one of D.C.’s newest theater companies, the Flesh & Candor Performance Ensemble, has debuted its first show, REVOLUTION (Tingle Tangle No. 1). Co-founders Joseph Perna and Sabrina Mandell show you that life is beautiful (or at least that burlesque is not ugly), bodies are beautiful (both male and female striptease is promised), and even accordions are beautiful. So put down the knitting, the book, or the broom. It’s time for a holiday. Life is a cabaret, old chum, so come to the show at 8 p.m. (see City List for other dates) at the Warehouse Theater, 1021 7th St. NW. $10. (202) 387-4221. (Bidisha Banerjee)
