Assault—Simple

Amidon Elementary School

Nov. 24, 2004, 10:44 a.m.

A female student drew a picture of a male student with a bloodied nose and teeth missing. The student also drew an arm punching the victim in the face. The student then threw the picture at the victim. The victim threw the picture back to the student. The student then jumped up from her chair and began punching the victim in the face. A teacher intervened and separated the altercation. The victim sustained a bloody scratch on the left side of his neck. The school assigned nurse administered first aid. [Further] medical attention not required. The student’s mother picked her up from the school. The student served a one-day suspension.

Theft of Government Property

Langdon Elementary School

Sept. 27, 2004, 10:41 a.m.

The school’s cafeteria manager discovered $62.45 in cash missing from the cafeteria refrigerator. She usually keeps the cafeteria money inside of the refrigerator. MPD responded and completed a report. No suspects, leads, or witnesses at this time.

Miscellaneous Complaint

Browne Junior High School

Oct. 5, 2004, 1:43 p.m.

A male special education student fell asleep on the DCPS bus. The bus was transported to his school [but he did not get off]. The bus driver and bus attendant [then drove] to the transportation lot and did not check to see if anyone was still on the bus. The special education student remained asleep on the bus. Both the bus driver and bus attendant were terminated.
