Mikes Kanin and DeBonis can certainly be applauded for their cartographical creativity in mapping out “alternative” routes to avoid the Metropolitan Police Department’s traffic-safety cameras (“The Right Directions,” 3/4). But as Chief Charles H. Ramsey has said so succinctly, on so many occasions, there is an easier way: Slow down, obey the speed limit, and stop at red lights. As the Washington Post editorialized recently, “it doesn’t get any simpler than that.”
