Bomb Threat

Jan. 28, 2005, 9 a.m.

A teacher discovered a letter inside of a student’s notebook. The letter read “My son’s name is Salaam./ I came to drop a bomb./ If u God why the fu**k y’all worship Islam.” The student’s father responded to the school and confessed to writing the letter. MPD responded and completed a report. Administrative action is pending.

Incident No. 1123

Threat

C.W. Harris Elementary School

Jan. 27, 2005, 6 p.m.

A security [guard] removed candy wrappers from the flowerpot located in the lobby and temporarily placed them onto the floor. A Maintenance Employee called the security guard “an old dumb motherf**ker” several times, then instructed her to step toward him. The maintenance employee then informed the security guard to call her son. The security guard informed the maintenance employee that she has 10 brothers and 1 son. The security guard notified MPD on Jan. 31, 2005. MPD responded but did not complete a report. The principal submitted a copy of the security guard’s incident to the maintenance employee without authorization. The security guard informed the Principal that the maintenance employee would have to get authorization before obtaining a copy of her incident…. The maintenance employee will not receive disciplinary action.

Incident No. 1146

Improper Conduct

Feb. 2, 2005, 8:20 a.m.

On Dec. 14, 2004, at approximately 3:05 p.m., several students informed a DCPS employee of an incident involving a student and a teacher. The student informed the DCPS employee that the teacher forced her to urinate in a cup because she did not want the [other] employees to know that she was in the area working late. The student stated that she was uncomfortable urinating in a cup and did not understand why the teacher did not want anyone to know she was working late. The date of the incident is unknown. Administrative action is pending.
