Incident No. 1060

Assault—Sexual

Garfield Elementary School

2435 Alabama Ave. SE

Jan. 12, 2005, 2:20 p.m.

On January 12, 2005, at approximately 9:04 a.m. two female students entered the coatroom inside of classroom #1E at different times. A male student grabbed each victim, threw them against a wall, and began humping their buttocks. He then displayed his private part to the victims. Another female student later entered the coatroom. The male student grabbed her and pushed her against the wall and then began humping her buttocks. The male student informed a social worker that he committed other sexual acts and made other statements to the victims. The student was also involved in other sexual incidents on other unknown dates. The school-assigned Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officer completed a report. Parents to be notified. Administrative action is pending.

Incident No. 1170

Improper Conduct

Birney Elementary School,

2501 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave. SE

Feb. 2, 2005, 1:15 p.m.

A female student was in the classroom when a male student called her a “B**ch.” [She] notified the teacher. The teacher replied, “he calls what he sees.” Administrative action is pending. MPD not notified.

Incident No. 1266

Improper Conduct

Bunker Hill Elementary School,

1401 Michigan Ave. NE

Feb. 11, 2005, 4:30 p.m.

On Feb. 11, 2005, Bunker Hill students traveled to Ski Liberty, Pennsylvania. When the students returned, the bus driver was informed that someone was not present. It was later discovered that the student was placed on another bus. An investigation [has been] requested for a school employee for negligence. Administrative action is pending.
