Incident No. 825
Unlawful Entry
Garnet-Patterson Middle School
2001 10th St. NW
Dec. 10, 2004, 8:35 a.m.
A female outsider entered the building and stated that she was there to see her son. She went to the auditorium, sat down beside a student and stated that she was his mother. The student told the woman that she was not his mother. The outsider then told the student that he was her brother. Security responded to the auditorium and instructed the outsider that she needed to sign in at the office. The outsider replied, “is it your job to tell me to report to the office?” Security replied, “yes.” The outsider said she had identification. Security told her that she still needed to sign in at the office. Security called for school assigned Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to respond to the auditorium. MPD responded and asked the outsider to report to the office. The outsider ignored MPD. She got up when the student got up. The student walked into the hall, then he ran into the office. MPD told the outsider she needed to stand there. The outsider replied that the student was 22 years old and he was her boyfriend. The outsider was handcuffed and was transported to St. Elizabeth’s hospital for an evaluation.
