All Five Guys Famous Burgers and Fries locations have bulletin boards where customers can voice feedback. The typical message reads “Five Guys Rock!” but last week, one postcard at the Georgetown location expressed an edgy admiration for the chain: “Hina, Tchang, Lil’ Steph and Nicole Wagner love Five Guys when we’re HIGH!” Manager Christie Goodwin says she scans the board “once or twice a day” to keep Five Guys a “family establishment” but missed the munchie-driven post. “Every once in a while,” Goodwin says, “guys will play lame jokes on each other like writing ‘I’m gay’ or posting their phone numbers on the board.” On Monday, Goodwin was alerted to and removed the card. Five Guys’ customer Oliver Karelis was neither impressed nor offended by its toasted sense of humor. “I can see how that’s funny from the stoner point of view” he says of the postcard. “But that’s stupid as shit.”Constantine Caloudas
