Thank you, Todd Kliman, for a thoroughly researched, very well-written article on Phillips and the blue crab (“Crab Imperialist,” 7/15).

I saw a Phillips in the Savannah, Ga., airport last week and couldn’t believe it. Extremely high prices for what I call a “McDonald’s” crab cake. The place was not very well-patronized but may make enough to get by. Even in Georgia and South Carolina, most folks who know prefer a real blue crab.
