Officer gets threatened with homemade ice pick

Time: 4 p.m.

Location – 700 block of Emerson Street NE

Officer: Andrea Lewis

Incident Report: While Officer Lewis was sitting at the corner [of the] 700 block of Emerson Street NE, a man walked up to the car [seeking] information on how to get a job as a parking officer….Officer Lewis told the man to go to 14th & U Street N.W. [Upon receiving the] information the citizen became very irate and reach[ed] into his pocket [to] pull out a home made style ice pick. [He said he would stab her] in the heart and kill her. Officer Lewis departed from the scene unharmed. MPD was called to the scene.
