So Nimley began to issue to citizen a rush hour citation and put it on his car. The citizen then exited his car and pushed officer Nimley. Then he hit Nimley in his left eye, grabbed the officer’s government-issued (Nextel) radio and threw it away, which we couldn’t recover. An MPD officer asked Nimley if he was going to press charges against the citizen, and his response was yes. However, there was no arrest. Nimley was taken to George Washington Hospital for care; he was released with negative X-rays.
