Great piece on the new stadium (“Rich Fan, Poor Fan,” 10/7). That was some intense reporting. Nicely done.
In case you hadn’t heard, out here in Marysville, Calif. (pop. 12,800), home of the Yuba-Sutter Gold Sox Baseball Club, we’re installing new 22-inch major-league-grade stadium chairs in our box-seat sections for next season. Twenty-two-inch seats! Not those dinky 19-inch chairs planned at your new place.
You’re probably asking yourself, Who the hey are the Gold Sox, and where is Marysville?
According to a note on the Web site of Professor Irwin Corey, the World’s Foremost Authority, Marysville, Calif., is the Center of the Baseball Universe. More on the Gold Sox at www.goldsox.com
Keep up the good work.
