Citizen flees ticket, strikes officer with car.

Location – 400 block of 8th Street SE
Officer – Evelyn Blakeney
Incident Report – The citizen had just gotten off the metro and was going to her car when she saw Blakeney writing a ticket for her vehicle, which was in a Bus Zone. The citizen yelled for her not to put the ticket on the car. She hurried to get in her vehicle and drive off when she hit Blakeney in the right hip area with the side of her car as she placed a ticket on the driver side windshield. Blakeney stated she was not hurt and did not want to seek medical attention.
