Thanks for your article on Marion Barry (“He’s Still Marion Barry,” 2/3). Where is the outrage over this supposed “pillar” of D.C.? He has tested positive once again for drug use and has pleaded guilty to not filing income taxes for years.

Where in the world does this man get off thinking laws don’t apply to him? I still do not understand why there is not more outrage, in especially the black community, for him basically scamming “his” people. This hurts not only him but also all the poor blacks who have continued to elect him to “king of everything” in D.C. Why hasn’t city council booted him?
