We value your support now more than ever.

All year we’ve been covering the issues that matter most to you—the pandemic, the election, policing, housing, and more—and now our end of year membership campaign is here. Will you support our work to ensure we can bring you the same informative local reporting in 2021?

If you thought area college students were essentially the same thing as summer tourists, only with more staying power, prepare to have your mind blown wide open with the District’s Funniest College Competition. Area undergrads duke it out stand-up-style at the DC Improv in an effort to be crowned Funniest College Kid and win a chance at future gigs at the club. Don’t worry, there won’t be any science majors telling jokes that no one else can understand. These verbal gladiators were pre-screened when judges held auditions at eight nearby colleges, and the winner from each school performs tonight. Watch the best of the bunch enter the ring armed with only a microphone and lacerating wit at 8 p.m. at the DC Improv, 1140 Connecticut Ave. NW. $10. (202) 296-7008. (Amy Dobson)
