Ken Blackburn currently holds the Guinness World Records title for the longest paper-airplane flight at 27.6 seconds, but the employees of the College Park Aviation Museum are here to help you in your quest to raise the bar. Although the museum features cool aviation gear of all shapes and sizes year-round, during Paper Airplane Week (from Monday, April 10, to Friday, April 14), museum employees will supply paper-airplane patterns and assistance while you craft your own sleek fighter jet. With a bit of practice, you might even be ready to blast the competition during the Paper Airplane Derby at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 14. Get into the fold from noon to 4 p.m. at the College Park Aviation Museum, 1985 Cpl. Frank Scott Drive, College Park. $4. (301) 864-6029. (Kristen Berg)
