As a regular at chief ike’s on wednesdays and an ardent fan of the blues, I can say without a doubt that Lighthouse is one of the best musicians to ever play the blues. His guitar work is amazingly detailed and expressive, and if you listen, you’ll notice that he often goes into a trance when playing, trying to approach that elusive pure groove. His rendition of Hendrix’s “Are You Experienced” is an amazing ’30s blues version and in true Hendrix fashion is played with a different interpretation each time.

I go to church on Sunday and the blues at Chief Ike’s on Wednesday for a lot of the same reasons. So turn off your Fox TV and get down to Chief Ike’s on Wednesday. Don’t miss the best show in town, and if you’ve got a nickle, won’t you lay your money down!
