in reference to the cover story “repro Men” (10/6), I take my hat off to Ahsahnte Da King, Da Ol’ Boy, and Lil’ Lando of Money for Life. They achieved success because of their hard work, togetherness, and determination. They made a way for our society to believe that our youths can motivate themselves to do something both productive and entertaining, and not relate to violence, mayhem, or destruction. It may appear that what they are doing (bootlegging CDs) is illegal, but they have put out their own albums and CDs, put together a studio for a new record, achieved a wide range of clientele, and also expanded their businesses. They have put a whole new perspective on their community by going out and doing something productive and positive. Money for Life, keep up the good work.
