There’s still time to nominate local icons for Best of D.C.
the answer to why mayor williams travels frequently (“Best of Mayoral Travel,” 10/20) is obvious and simple. He has been scouting for his next job since he was first elected.
The mayor has no interest in Washington, D.C. He did not move here to settle and make D.C. his home. Our city is/was merely a stepping stone to the next upper-echelon appointment. Sadly for the mayor, he hasn’t found a niche, and no agency has tapped him for its top employee. No surprise there—his performance as mayor has been one continuous failure.
Let’s hope that he keeps moving—who knows where, as long as it’s far from our city.
