We can't make City Paper without you
by now i am probably at least the thousandth woman to write in to tell you what a horrifying, misogynistic, unfunny, and utterly tasteless article I found Franklin Schneider’s to be. As a single, young-professional woman who hangs out in some of the “trendiest spots” his article alludes to, I can tell you that the article epitomizes the single woman’s worst fears about what most men are really like. As such, I think it does a disservice to men and women alike. I have no idea what the Washington City Paper’s intention was in publishing that article, but if it was to be hip and edgy, you missed the mark and ended up with trashy and offensive instead. My only consolation is knowing that if Franklin Schneider used his real name for this article, the women of D.C. will soon exact their revenge.
