Merce Cunningham Dance Company
Merce Cunningham has been creating innovative and original new ways to approach dance and music for more than 50 years. In his newest work, eyeSpace, iPods® programmed with Mikel Rouse’s original score, International Cloud Atlas, will be distributed to all audience members. If you already own an iPod®, download Rouse’s score online before the show and bring it with you! This performance also includes other notable Cunningham repertory to be announced. “There are relatively few people alive today who completely define an epoch. Merce is one of them. In terms of dance, there is before Merce and after Merce.” (Los Angeles Times) “He has taught us something powerful about how to dance and how to live.” (Mikhail Baryshnikov)
