A short on the life of DoriAnn, a fundamentalist Mormon who shares her husband with her sister. Split between DoriAnn confessing her reservations directly to the camera and footage of her taking a sensuous, candlelit bath, the documentary is so voyeuristic it’s impossible not to feel guilty spying on the oft-ridiculed sect. Poignantly conjuring images and scenes—like that of her listening to her husband and sister upstairs—it’s a fascinating character study. —JW
Provocative title, tedious short. A Russian asshole runs a school in St. Petersburg that teaches women how to snag a sugar daddy. Humiliating lessons include dancing in lingerie, playing with bananas, and acting alternately kittenish, helpless, and “persistent.” The students seem to know better, but they do as they’re told anyway. —TO
