Young Peggy Sawyer comes to New York in search of fame and fortune and catches the eye of one of the most powerful directors on Broadway, Julian Marsh. As can only happen in a Broadway musical full of intrigue and plot twists, Peggy is discovered, hired, fired, and eventually becomes the star of the show. In between are thrilling dance numbers, fabulous sets and costumes and some of the most famous songs ever heard on a Broadway stage including “You’re Getting to Be a Habit With Me,” “We’re in the Money,” “I Only Have Eyes for You,” “The Lullaby of Broadway,” “About a Quarter To Nine,” “Shuffle off to Buffalo,” and “42nd Street.”
