Based on a true story, Bright Star chronicles the passionate love
affair between a 24-year-old British poet, John Keats, and his
18-year-old enchanting muse, Fanny Brawne. Academy Award winner Jane
Campion’s (The Piano) return to the big screen features outstanding
performances from Abbie Cornish (Stop-Loss) as Brawne, Ben Whishaw
(I’m Not There) as Keats and Paul Schneider (NBC’s “Parks &
Recreation”) as Keats’s friend, Charles Armitage Brown.
Written and directed by Jane Campion, BRIGHT STAR will open in Washington, DC theatres on Friday, September 25.
