Come all ye wearers of artfully tattered jeans, of black-on-black all the time: The Sartorialist is visiting our city. For just four years, blogger Scott Schuman had been snapping stylish women and men on the street, and in that time, he has become a chief influence-maker in the fashion industry, spawning a thousand imitators and landing on Time’s list of “The Style & Design 100.” He focuses on the fashion elite but peppers his selections with regular sidewalkers—as long as they’re sage old men or fabulous hobos. There are a few stars of the blog: French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld, Giovanna Battaglia, and an adorable woman named Eva. (“Don’t try to copy her; just try to enjoy the show,” Schuman advises.) Schuman has gathered this constellation of chic ladies, as well as photographs of many other stunningly adorned and apparelled women, in a book named after his blog. Start planning your outfits now! SCHUMAN SIGNS COPIES OF HIS BOOKS AT 9 P.M. AT MASA 14, 1825 14TH ST. NW. Free. (202) 328-1414.
