The Temporium is part happening, part flea market, part coffee-house venue—only, well, minus the coffee. It does have sodas, however, which you can grab from the ice bath on your right as you enter (you can’t drink the water from the fountain). The Temporium, spearheaded by Philippa Hughes’ Pink Line Project blog, is another in a long line of pop-up projects across the city intended to generate developer interest in revitalizing abandoned lots with creative ideas. This particular pop-up, in the former R.L. Christian Community Library, puts the focus on several area clothing and jewelry designers, like de*nada, Dopeville, and Derringer Friday, with new designers added each week. As for coffee? SOVA’s espresso, down the street, ain’t bad.

THE TEMPORIUM IS OPEN THURSDAY AND FRIDAY 6 TO 10 P.M., SATURDAY 2 TO 10 P.M., AND SUNDAY NOON TO 5 P.M. TO AUGUST 15 AT 1300 H ST. NE. FREE.
