The 2010 Capital Fringe hit Edible Rex, in which a father, a son, and a famous 19th century French chef search for the perfect meal, returns by popular demand to Washington for a special limited engagement at the Warehouse at 1019 7th St, NW. The Washington City Paper called Edible Rex “one of the best shows at Fringe this year.” DC Theatre Scene called it “a must see” and awarded it five stars.

Edible Rex combines three unusual and true stories: Alexis Soyer’s fabulous but forgotten Gastronomic Symposium of 1851, the author’s food adventures in North Korea, Oklahoma, and other exotic locales, and the fraught relationship between the author and his father. Through food, music, and humor, Edible Rex looks at the tension between the pleasures of the moment and the legacies we leave behind.

“Feffer is a brilliant writer and performer–he’s humorous, transportive, and when the production’s done, you’ll want to go and grab a meal with him,” writes Erin Petty of the City Paper.
