If you like N.Y. style bagels, then you’ll love Bethesda/Whatsa Bagel. The shop makes its bagels by hand, not by machine. Like N.Y., the bagels are crusty on the outside and chewy on the inside-the way real bagels were meant to be.
It’s quite a show to watch the large mounds of dough being hand rolled and boiled. It smells great, too. The shop also has a full deli selling all your favorite appetizing meats, cheeses, and a large assortment of homemade spreads. Scrumptious desserts, catering and wholesale delivery available.
