Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
Johnson IMAX Theater
Washington, DC
Featuring opening remarks and follow-up question/answer session by filmmaker Hamzah Jamjoom. Born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Hamzah came to study in the U.S. at the age of 17 and is now completing his graduate work in film studies at Chicago’s DePaul University. As the star of “Arabia”, Hamzah was instrumental in the making of the IMAX film, both behind and in front of the IMAX camera. Jamjoom’s dream, upon returning to Saudi Arabia, is to help pioneer a new film industry and make films about his people.
Please use the Constitution Avenue entrance on the north side of the museum. Nearest Metro stops are Federal Triangle (Blue/Orange) and
Archives/Navy Memorial (Yellow/Green). Street parking will be available around the museum after 6:30pm.
