July 14 – August 14
H Street Playhouse
Washington, D.C. 20002

SCENA’s wildly hilarious production of The Importance of Being Earnest is back by popular demand – reset in the decadent, roaring 1920s and featuring cross-gender casting. Jack and Algy have it all, thanks to carefully crafted double-lives – till love and marriage enter the equation. Jack loves Gwendolyn. Algy loves Cecily. Yet, both women insist on marrying the elusive man who is “Earnest”. After “true” identities are revealed, will all live happily ever after? Escape summer’s swelter with this classic comedy of errors by the legendary Irish playwright Oscar Wilde.

Official Run: July 14 – Aug 14, Thur – Sat 8pm & Sun 3pm. Presented by SCENA, Washington’s International Theatre.
